This summit will highlight the importance of antimicrobial stewardship and focus on implementation strategies that will promote facility-wide incorporation and improve antimicrobial use and patient outcomes.
Summit Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Discuss antimicrobial stewardship principles and implementation strategies in the post-COVID era.
- Identify the roles and responsibilities of the multidisciplinary team involved in antibiotic stewardship within multiple health care settings to improve the management of common infections.
Describe how to utilize antibiotic stewardship tools to promote the appropriate use of antibiotics and improve patient outcomes.
