INFECTION CONTROL ASSESSMENT AND PROMOTION PROGRAM
The Nebraska Infection Control Assessment and Promotion Program (ICAP) is a CDC-funded efforts with the primary objective to prevent health care-associated infections (HAI) in the state of Nebraska. The ICAP team had conducted onsite infection control assessments in more than 100 acute, long-term, and outpatient facilities in Nebraska using standardized tools. Evidence-based recommendations and resources were provided after onsite visit, if needed, to improve infection control practices and to minimize transmission of HAI.
