What's new

Welcome to the Nebraska ASAP website!  A number of tools and templates to facilitate establishment of an institutional antimicrobial stewardship program (ASP) has been added to the site (see links below).  Regularly scheduled blog posts will be published to highlight news and studies related to antimicrobial stewardship and antimicrobial use.  Sign-up for free email alerts.

10/11/2019: A new blog on the newly finalized Conditions for Participation (CoP) for hospitals and critical access hospitals from the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) as been posted. 

8/6/2019: All videos from the 2019 Nebraska Antimicrobial Stewardship Summit are now posted on the ASAP YouTube channel.  In addition, an educational document on piperacillin-tazobactam extended infusion is now available.

5/21/2019: Two new patient educational pamphlets designed to be given to patients in ambulatory clinics have now been posted in the Ambulatory Care section of the website (Antibiotic Aren’t Always the Answer and You Have Been Diagnosed with an Acute Respiratory Tract Infection).

5/14/2019: A new guidance document (Algorithm for Management of Suspected Urinary Tract Infections in Long-Term Care Residents) and two new tools (SBAR for Suspected UTI with Treatment Recommendations and Adverse Drug Reaction Worksheet) are now available. 

1/14/2019: One new tool (SBAR for skin/soft-tissue infections) and three new guidance documents (How to use an SBAR for Antimicrobial Stewardship, Implementing SBAR for Antimicrobial Stewardship, and Justifying Inpatient Stay after IV to PO Switch) are now available.
