On July 27th, CDC published a new report entitled Antibiotic Use in the United States, 2017: Progress and Opportunities.  This report provides a summary of the current state of antibiotic use in various healthcare settings (hospitals, nursing homes, and outpatient clinics) in the United States.  It highlights efforts and resources that support healthcare providers and patients to improve prescribing and use of antimicrobials.  In addition, this report continues to raise awareness on the needs of antimicrobial stewardship.  To read the full report, click here.
